Serving up OpenTable on the iPad

June, 2010

When Sequence was chosen by OpenTable to design and develop its iPad app, we were giddy. As regular, devoted users of the OpenTable web and mobile offerings, we were thrilled to get the opportunity to help make the OpenTable iPad vision real. As you’ll see when you try the app, it takes full advantage of the iPad’s rich, large display and touchscreen interactivity.

The early reviews are great and the downloads have been brisk.

Check it out and make yourself a reservation at your favorite dinner spot. Bon appetite!

The new Chipotle iPhone app hits the streets

August, 2009

We are very excited to announce that the new Chipotle iPhone app is now available on the App Store. The app is the result of a great team effort between Chipotle’s IT team, Pervasent, and Sequence (we designed the user interface).

The mobile ordering app gives iPhone and iPod touch users the ability to create their favorite Chipotle order, place it at the location of their choice, and also pay for their food directly from their device. The early reviews have been quite positive and there were over 150,000 downloads from the app store in the first week.

We designed Chipotle's new iPhone app in conjunction with a newly updated web-based ordering system. Customers can place orders through a secure credit card payment capability that allows them to save their information for quick repeat orders. The web ordering also includes an expanded group-ordering feature that allows customers to place multi-item orders under a single name.

So download the app, build your favorite burrito, and skip the line!

Forrester names Chevron.com best brand building site of the year

January, 2009

We are proud of our partnership with Chevron. So you can imagine our excitement when we heard that Forrester Research (perhaps the most respected analyst in our industry) was including Chevron.com in their review of the best websites of 2008. We were even more excited when we heard the results: of the top 20 sites they reviewed, Chevron.com was rated the best.

Forrester included some tough competition – sites for Coke, Verizon, Sprint, Nike, AT&T, BP, Shell, and a host of other top global brands. Their methodology included assessing a wide range of user-experience factors, each categorized into two general buckets: “brand action” (how well the sites cater to user needs) and “brand image” (how well the sites infuse the essence of the brand into the overall user experience).

Congratulations to Chevron and everyone who worked on the Chevron.com redesign project. It is quite an achievement to be recognized by a leading analyst like Forrester, especially compared against such iconic brands.

Check out the report.
